In early 2010, Carter was living half-way across the globe in Kenya, a romance was budding back home in Southern California….
In 2009, Meghan and Carter met at a business mixer in Palos Verdes, and they became casual acquaintances. Several months later, Carter had moved to Kenya to work with a Maasai tribe, and Meghan continued to develop her career in media and advertising. Their fateful romance began slow at first, by email exchange, but after Carter made a brief trip home to California, they met up and fell head over heels!
What’s with all the Blue Fuzzy Stuff?
Meghan made Carter a ‘welcome home’ gift in those early days. One such gift was a box of trinkets filled with blue paper confetti string – blue fuzzy stuff. Blue Fuzzy Stuff became their symbol of love, affection, and surprise. Blue fuzzy stuff now finds its way into lunch boxes, go-bags, gifts, and more. Blue Fuzzy Stuff means: “I’m thinking about YOU!”.
Why Beans and Cornbread?
Why not Mashed potatoes and gravy? Meghan and Carter each fell in love to Louis Jordan’s song, Beans and Cornbread. It is the anthem for their lifelong love and the enduring pet names they use for each other. Megs is Beans, and Carter is Corn!
